Message from London

Dear friends,

I hope that you all are enjoying the exciting EAACI Congress in London as much as I am. This 29th Congress is not only the largest allergy congress ever organised with its more than 8'000 delegates, but it is also a fantastic example of what a community can achieve when it is collaborating and developing activities from the very base. All EAACI members have had the opportunity to propose speakers and symposia topics, which then has been processed through a hard-working scientific programme committee.

Thank you all for helping EAACI to provide this fantastic platform for communication of science, knowledge and ideas. Without your involvement, it would not happen.

Thank you also, to the Congress President Tony Frew for having organised the meeting, and the Scientific Programme Committee Chair Christian Virchow for having coordinated the development of the Programme.

We look forward to the other EAACI events in the autumn, including the Skin Allergy Meeting (SAM) in Venice, the European Rhinitis and Asthma Meeting (ERAM) in Brussels, and the International Symposium of Molecular Allergology (ISMA) in Munich. And next year we are organising the EAACI Annual Congress on the doorstep to Asia, in Istanbul, which will be an exceptional event as well.

Best wishes,
Jan Lötvall
EAACI President 2009-2011
